IoT

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or “things” embedded with electronics,  software,  sensors, and network connectivity which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.

The Internet of Things allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more direct integration between the physical world and computer-based systems, resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit. Each thing is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system, but is able to interoperate within existing Internet infrastructure.

Here’s what we mean – Imagine:

The future store cupboard and connected fridges that automatically order consumables when they run low…

Robot vacuum cleaners that do the cleaning whilst you are away…

Umbrellas that beep “take me” when they know it is going to rain at your destination…

Baby monitors that tell your smartphone breathing, position, temperature and activity level…

Connected medical prescription bottles that remind you to take regular medication…

Securing your home… Lighting your home… Heating your home… Did you leave the oven on?

Experts estimate that the IoT will consist of almost 50 billion objects by 2020.

All advanced Ninja’s will peak their curiosity by connecting their devices to the internet and explore the “next big thing” happening in technology today! Watch out for an IoT device near you soon!

The Digital Revolution

The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes over a period of around 80 years starting circa 1760. The commencement of the Industrial Revolution is closely linked to a small number of innovations. Gains had been made in important technologies: Textiles, Steam Power and Iron production. The Industrial Revolution marked a major turning point in history; almost every aspect of daily life was influenced in some way…

Compare this with the Digital Revolution…

Today, radical changes are paving the way individuals and companies interact on a global scale. Can you be productive today without access to the web, social media or other electronic communication? All this has been brought to us all in just the last few years thanks to disruptive technology and the innovators to create the next big thing…

One quote says it all:

Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman, Google

“For most people on Earth, the digital revolution hasn’t even started yet. Within the next 10 years, all that will change. Let’s get the whole world coding!”

At the Ninja Code Academy, no matter how late you come to the party, you will benefit by starting NOW on this amazing revolution!

Learning to code will “teach you how to think” and it is with this spirit through practical physical learning that your creative mind will be unleashed. Are you the next tech entrepreneur?
